This Mercury Mountaineer is a higher-end, fraternal twin of the Ford Explorer. That's a good thing because, overall, both the Explorer and the Mountaineer are a superb products. What's different about these twins is that the Ford Motor Company felt that Mountaineer needed a unique and upscale Mercury identity.
